Bo for US House – Oregon 4th dist.
Voters in Oregon’s 4th congressional district deserve a LOT more than what Val Hoyle is bringing. At a time of unprecedented crisis, Hoyle’s abysmally conservative voting record and her “well, there is nothing I can do” attitude is not what our constituents want.
We need a fighter who is not afraid to call a spade a spade, call out the genocide in Gaza, Trump’s illegal and unconstitutional dismantling of our government and a disastrous fiscal policy designed to redistribute Americans’ wealth to the richest of the rich. We need a firebrand who will do whatever it takes to take our country back and take action NOW.
My platform:
- Stop illegal deportations.
- Reinstate common sense procedures for asylum seekers.
- Open green-card lottery to all countries equally.
Governance
- 15-year term limit for supreme court justices.
- Mandatory retirement age for lawmakers, including president: 80
- Constitutional protection for LGBTQ+ people.
- Ban private equity funds / hedge funds from owning and operating rental properties with 10 or fewer units.
Foreign affairs
- An immediate end to all non-humanitarian aid to Israel.
- Recognition of the state of Palestine
- Reinstate USAID.
- Join the ICC.
Fiscal
- TAX THE RICH!
- No more ceiling for payroll taxes
- Raise the income tax above $10,000,000 to 50%
- A wealth tax of 3% on liquid / quasi liquid assets above $100,000,000.
- Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr.
- Medicare / single payer healthcare for all.
Education
- Science based education.
- Reverse book bans.
- Free up to 4 years of Community College for all who qualify.
- Student loan forgiveness.
Climate
- Complete divestiture from fossil fuels.
- Incentives for solar / wind projects, both personal and municipal.
